The player wants the best outcome for everyone, and because of that, they must often put the town interests above their own. This is a decent change from Mount & Blade: Warband, where the player was in charge of the town. You are under the command of a town overseer, who has tremendous power over the townsfolk. When you’re a town boss in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, you are not in charge of your own town. Bannerlord also welcomes you to choose your favorite culture, with each culture having its own set of buildings and locations.

Throughout the game, you’ll construct towns to serve as the base from which you’ll launch raids and other attacks, and you’ll develop towns by building a variety of buildings with different functions. The game is set to release for PC in 2017 and is currently available for pre-order.īannerlord focuses on two of the game’s biggest areas: “town loyalty” and “town growth”. The game features a complex gameplay system, consisting of various elements such as horse combat, melee combat, archery, siege warfare, and more. Set in Eastern Europe, players can explore the game world through its rotatable, zoomable medieval-style camera.
